Having been a commissioner at the 218th, I was watching this video less for content and more for catching glimpses of friends. Sure enough, I saw a friend interviewed. I just wanted to comment what a great technique this is for spreading ideas! The GA is obviously a huge gathering, and the thoughtful responses are encouraging.
In answer to the topic question, my church has been going through a transformation process; we're still chugging away, but we've realized that relationships are VITAL for church growth, so we're working at building and expanding ours. Of course that IS work.... Sharing this site could be a step in the process. Thanks!

We have membership problems in a Senior Citizen area where our Congregation averages 78. We need to attract Baby Boomers - who weren't joiners - to get them back into the Church. Any ideas?

The video is a way to get all of the churche excited about our relationship with God, the church and the community we are a part of. Yes, it is relationtional - as a Christ centered community we need to be more intuned with God and each other. I am glad to know that I am not the only one wondering how to better service God and the communities God has placed us in. This video should be widely distributed as an example of what God is calling us to do together. Yes, as Rob Bulock stated: "What a great model for church!"

This video has dozens of ideas for growing God's church. There's something here that any church could try. I love the one about offering after-school music programs - identifying a need in the community and then meeting it. What a great model for church!
