I find this article in the Washington Post (below) most fascinating. It suggest that people who have no religious affiliation may be part of a movement who want to connect their experience, and perhaps their spirituality, to some sort of religious community, but organized religion isn't providing for their deepest needs, in a way that this happens.
Imagine the folks who have no faith, or who have left the faith for now, are the most open to faith!
