Jacquie - you wrote a few weeks back in response to a Building One Another but my return emails are not getting through. Elton Trueblood was also a hero of mine. When I was 30 and he was 80 and a retired professor at Earlham College in Richmond, IN he used to preach in the congregation were I was an associate near Purdue. He was kind to spend extra time with me and his books still are deeply encouraging. Thank you for your work with the GAMC and the Evangelism and Church Growth work. In my work with some twenty presbyteries and hundreds of congregations through the Vital Churches Institute I am seeing a huge hunger for encouragement. I always lift up the good spirit and forward thinking people that are on the GAMC and our Louisville staff – as you all have the greatest heart for what is happening at congregational level that I have seen in my 30+ years of ministry – blessings on you and yours - Stan p.s. on evangelism check out http://www.vitalchurchesinstitute.com/newsitems/view/3
Greeting from Myanmar
Its Samuel who is having a burning desire to do the church ministry in Myanmar in spite of its political complexities, because he knows that the coming of the Lord seems so near but many in Myanmar are still in the darkness. So he is really in need of your prayer.
